What we do

Four practice areas, each led by consultants who have managed the same problems inside real companies before moving into advisory work.

Operational efficiency reviews

We audit your workflows from procurement to delivery, timing each handoff and measuring idle capacity. Clients typically recover 12 to 18 per cent of lost productive time within the first quarter after implementation. The review takes four weeks for a company of up to 80 staff.

Financial restructuring

Cash flow problems rarely have a single cause. We trace them back to pricing structures, payment terms, inventory cycles and overhead allocation. Then we rebuild the financial model so your margins hold even when revenue dips by 15 per cent.

Growth strategy and market entry

Thinking about a new product line or a geographic expansion? We build the business case with realistic revenue projections, competitor mapping and a go-to-market timeline. Our last three market-entry projects reached break-even within nine months of launch.

Leadership and team performance

We run structured assessments of management teams, identify skill gaps and design coaching programmes that run over six months. The focus is on decision-making speed, delegation clarity and accountability structures that survive staff changes.

Why companies call us

Most of our clients arrive with one of these situations. Here is what we do about each one.

The problems

  • Revenue is growing but profit keeps shrinking. The team works harder each quarter with less to show for it.
  • A founder or MD is making every significant decision alone, and the business stalls when they are away.
  • A competitor entered the market with lower prices and the sales pipeline has slowed to a trickle.
  • The company wants to raise investment or prepare for acquisition but the financials are not investor-ready.

Our responses

  • We dissect the cost structure line by line, find the three or four items eating your margin and renegotiate or eliminate them.
  • We design a delegation framework with clear decision rights, so the leadership team can operate independently within agreed boundaries.
  • We reposition your offering around value rather than price, rebuild the sales messaging and retrain the team on consultative selling.
  • We prepare a financial data room, clean up the P&L presentation and rehearse the management pitch until it is investor-grade.

How an engagement works

Five stages from first conversation to measurable results. Most projects complete within ten to fourteen weeks.

01

Discovery call

A 45-minute conversation where we learn about your company, current challenges and what success looks like for you. No charge, no commitment.

02

Diagnostic phase

We spend one to two weeks inside your business, interviewing staff, reviewing financials and observing operations. At the end you receive a diagnostic summary with prioritised findings.

03

Recommendation workshop

A half-day session with your leadership team where we present our recommendations, debate alternatives and agree on the action plan together.

04

Implementation support

We stay involved during execution. Weekly check-ins, progress tracking against KPIs and hands-on help when your team hits a snag.

05

Results review

Sixty days after the last change goes live, we return to measure outcomes against the original targets. If something underperformed, we adjust it at no extra cost.

Common questions

Fees depend on scope. A focused operational review for a 30-person company usually falls between £8,000 and £14,000. Larger strategy projects with implementation support range from £20,000 to £45,000. We quote a fixed price before work begins so there are no surprises.
Yes. About a third of our clients are based elsewhere in the UK or in the Republic of Ireland. The diagnostic phase may require on-site time, but much of the ongoing work happens remotely through video calls and shared dashboards.
Our strongest track record is in professional services, light manufacturing, food and drink, and technology firms between 15 and 300 employees. That said, the operational and financial frameworks we use apply across sectors. We will tell you honestly during the discovery call if your situation falls outside our experience.
Absolutely. We often work alongside in-house teams. The value of an external perspective is that we ask questions insiders have stopped asking. We also bring benchmarks from other companies that your team would not normally see.
We usually have capacity to begin a new project within two to three weeks of the discovery call. If your situation is urgent, we can sometimes fast-track the diagnostic phase to start within days.
